I bought the Nicki Minaj fragrance because the bottle really appealed to me, it was fun and different. I had also smelt a sample in a department store before I bought it and liked it. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing but I definitely wasn't expecting it to be terrible either.
Bottle & box. |
The bottle itself is a replica of Nicki, the pink wig, the curvaceous silhouette and it has her wearing a white and blue lined corset. The box was tacky and cheap looking and I was disappointed that the bottle didn't have the gold chain attached to it like advertised. An Elizabeth Arden spokeswoman did mention that the necklace was only attached to 100ml bottles however mine is a 50ml. This fragrance cost me roughly $69NZD.
Pink Friday is very sweet, top notes being star fruit, mandarin and blackberries, but pear and jasmine come off strongest to me, these are a few of the ingredients in this fragrance. It is quite pleasant to smell when you are smelling it directly from the bottle, but as soon as I applied it, the smell almost instantly disappeared. I had to reapply it almost 6 times before I gave up on it all together, through out the day I could smell it at random times but it had faded into a musky scent that gave me a headache.
On a positive note, the makeup that she wears on her fragrance box is cute and playful. I enjoyed trying it out on myself for this blog post :) also, I bought another celebrity fragrance shortly after I bought Nickis, and it's absolutely amazing! I will post a positive review on it in the upcoming week.
"Nicki becomes Larger Than Life and gets your world spinning with Pink Friday" No, the only thing spinning was my head after inhaling this fragrance.
I rate the Nicki Minaj fragrance;
1/5
